Pierce Brosnan described his youngest son, Paris, as possessing the strength and stamina required for a career in acting as the 25-year-old prepares to star in the adventure-comedy "Seniors." The 73-year-old actor spoke with Fox News Digital at the premiere of the film, noting that while the entertainment industry is a "very tough business" and "capricious," Paris has the necessary talent, good sense, and intuition to succeed.

Brosnan emphasized that acting demands significant discipline, including work on one's voice, body, and mind, as well as the dedication to reading and studying. He stated that his son has all of these qualities. The "Die Another Day" star shares two sons with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith: Dylan, 29, and Paris, 25. He also has a son, Sean, 43, from his late first wife, Cassandra Harris, and adopted Harris' two children from a previous relationship: Christopher, 53, and Charlotte, who died in 2013 at age 41.

The senior Brosnan credited the "simple life" he and Smith provided for their two youngest sons with keeping them grounded. He noted that the family kept them close by maintaining family dinners and driving them to and from school. "We are very close, the whole family," he said.

In "Seniors," Paris Brosnan plays a teenager performing community service at a retirement home who forms a bond with a resident played by John Rhys-Davies. Brosnan described Rhys-Davies as a dear friend from many years ago, recalling that they met in 1976 at the York Theatre Royal. At the time, Brosnan was working as an acting assistant stage manager while Rhys-Davies was playing Macbeth.

Paris Brosnan called working with Rhys-Davies a "full circle moment" and a "master class." He said he gained inspiration from Rhys-Davies' method and details on how to be a better actor. Rhys-Davies told Fox News Digital that he sees some similarities between Paris and Pierce but does not see Pierce when working with the younger actor. He described Paris as his own man, noting his vulnerability, innocence, and willingness to evolve and adapt. Rhys-Davies added that it is fascinating to watch Paris define who he is and what he wants.

Paris Brosnan explained that while his father warned him about the industry's toughness, he interpreted those words as advice to only pursue acting if he truly loved it. He stated that he entered the industry with a love for it and has followed his father's advice to study the craft by going to class, reading, and learning from great actors. Brosnan has given him countless books on the subject.

The film "Seniors" is scheduled to hit select U.S. theaters on Oct. 23.
