A Vestwell survey of 1,007 American workers, published July 14, finds that the pressure of deciding among debt paydown, emergency savings, and retirement contributions has spread to workers well above the lower end of the wage scale.
The high cost of living, the survey concludes, is making it harder for all Americans to balance everyday expenses with longer-term saving. The paycheck prioritization problem does not resolve at higher pay.
The survey print Vestwell polled 1,007 workers across the United States and released the results out of New York on July 14. The headline finding: high wage earners face the same sequencing strain as lower-paid peers.
