Office of Foreign Assets Control has designated 134 cryptocurrency wallet addresses connected to ISIS-K — the Afghanistan-based affiliate of the Islamic State — adding them to its sanctions list and triggering a fund freeze by stablecoin issuer Tether.
Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis identified the flows: 131 of the 134 flagged addresses operate on the Tron blockchain and collectively received more than $1.4 million in crypto donations.
