Vertiv Holdings Co. (NYSE: VRT) has completed its acquisition of King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a Europe-based provider specializing in fluid management and load testing for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers. The deal expands Vertiv’s thermal management services into the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, extending capabilities previously established in North America through its 2025 acquisition of PurgeRite.
Giordano Albertazzi, Chief Executive Officer of Vertiv, stated that the acquisition addresses the growing need for field execution as computing density increases. He noted that cooling infrastructure performance relies on disciplined execution in the field alongside engineering design, and that KES extends Vertiv’s specialized expertise into the EMEA region as customers deploy complex infrastructure at scale.
KES, founded in 2002 and headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, serves customers from hubs in North Dublin and Frankfurt. The company provides an integrated service covering design review, pipework flushing, filtration, water treatment, testing, adjusting and balancing, data logging, and large-scale thermal and electrical load testing. Its services bridge construction and live operation, validating that cooling systems are clean, balanced, and ready for high-density and AI workloads.
The combination aims to reduce operational complexity by providing a single accountable partner for commissioning, testing, fluid management, and ongoing operations. It also seeks to improve cooling system performance through validated fluid systems that support optimal heat transfer, maintain compliance with regional fluid handling requirements, and bolster infrastructure readiness via thermal load testing prior to facility operation.
Financial terms for the transaction were not disclosed. Vertiv indicated the deal is not expected to be material to its financial results. The company highlighted risks associated with the integration, including expected expenses, the diversion of management time, and the ability to retain KES management and key employees. Vertiv also noted the uncertainty regarding whether it would realize the anticipated synergies and accretion contemplated by the acquisition.
Vertiv is headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, and does business in more than 130 countries. The company provides power, cooling, and IT infrastructure solutions for data centers, communication networks, and commercial facilities.
