FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott was inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame on Tuesday at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The honor recognizes industry leaders who have significantly impacted media, joining a roster that includes Oprah Winfrey, Bob Iger, and Walter Cronkite.
Scott joined Fox News in its inaugural year of 1996 and assumed the role of CEO in 2018. Since then, she has overseen the creation of three new streaming offerings: FOX Nation in 2018, FOX News International in 2020, and FOX Weather in 2021. Her tenure also includes the launch of FOX News Books in 2020 and brand refreshes for FOX News Digital, FOX News Audio, and FOX Business. Under her leadership, Fox News Channel has dominated cable ratings, regularly outperforming broadcast networks.
The ceremony featured tributes from Fox Corporation Executive Chair and CEO Lachlan Murdoch and "The Five" co-host Dana Perino. Murdoch described Scott as the "clear choice" to lead the company, noting that she does not chase the limelight or seek celebrity status. He stated that her focus remains on producing the best news and opinion in the country. Perino remarked that Scott makes maintaining a No. 1 rating position for 25 years look easy.
In her acceptance speech, Scott attributed the recognition to her entire Fox News family and thanked Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch for championing free speech. She highlighted the company's upcoming 30th anniversary and emphasized the importance of behind-the-scenes teams in delivering content across traditional and new platforms. Scott specifically acknowledged Fox News Media President Jay Wallace, Sean Hannity, and Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst for their contributions to the network.
Bill Hemmer served as one of the evening's emcees alongside ABC's Will Reeve and CBS's Vlad Duthiers. Hemmer introduced Scott by listing the multiple platforms she oversees, including Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and Fox News Audio and Podcasts. He praised her for keeping all of these platforms successful. Other guests included Lawrence Jones, Harris Faulkner, Ainsley Earhardt, Jessica Tarlov, and Emily Compagno.
The 2026 class of inductees also includes Bravo's Andy Cohen, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, and Food Network host Bobby Flay. The annual event honors both behind-the-scenes figures and public media stars who have shaped the industry.
