Nicholas Trutanich is set to become the General Counsel of Fox Corporation (Nasdaq: FOXA, FOX) on December 1, a move that follows the departure of Adam Ciongoli from his role as Chief Legal and Policy Officer. The company announced on October 19, 2026, that Ciongoli will not renew his contract and will transition to a special advisor position through June 2028.

Lachlan Murdoch, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer, stated that he deeply appreciates Ciongoli's service and is grateful for his continued advisory role. Murdoch described Trutanich as a critical team member since joining five years ago, noting that Trutanich will bring deep legal, litigation, and compliance experience to the expanded role. Trutanich will report directly to Murdoch in his new capacity.

Ciongoli stated that it has been a privilege to be part of the Fox family and that he values his relationships with Murdoch and colleagues. He expressed his intention to continue working with Murdoch and the company as a special advisor. Trutanich said he is honored to serve as General Counsel and looks forward to working with colleagues across the company to advance its goals during what he described as an exciting time of growth and innovation.

Trutanich joined Fox Corporation in 2021 as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. He most recently led the company's Litigation and Ethics and Compliance functions as Executive Vice President and Principal Deputy General Counsel. Before joining Fox Corporation, Trutanich served as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Nevada from 2019 to 2021. His prior roles include senior positions at the Nevada Attorney General's Office and service as a federal prosecutor within the U.S. Department of Justice. Earlier in his career, he worked as a litigator in private practice and as a federal law clerk.

As part of the leadership transition, Kristopher Jones, Executive Vice President and Head of Government Relations, will shift his reporting line to John Nallen, President and Chief Operating Officer, effective December 1. The company produces and distributes news, sports, and entertainment content through brands including FOX News Media, FOX Sports, Tubi Media Group, FOX Entertainment, and FOX Television Stations.
