Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: EMAT) entered the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes at the opening of U.S. equity markets on September 21, 2026. The inclusion places the rare earth magnet producer into benchmarks tracking approximately $12.2 trillion in assets, per FTSE Russell. This move follows the finalization of the third-quarter 2026 quarterly IPO additions process.
The index addition shifts the positioning of EMAT shares from a recent IPO listing to a constituent of two of the most widely tracked U.S. equity benchmarks. Membership in the Russell 2000 automatically includes the stock in the broader Russell 3000 and applicable U.S. style indexes. Institutional investors use these benchmarks for both active and passive strategies, meaning EMAT is now being incorporated into index-tracking investment products. The company is immediately eligible for active managers whose mandates require benchmark membership.
Christopher Clower, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of EMAT, described the index inclusion as a defining capital-markets milestone. He noted that the company has moved into commercial-scale production within eight months of its Nasdaq listing. Clower highlighted the validation of a non-China supply chain, the securing of ex-China NdPr feedstock, and the expansion of infrastructure in Pohang, Republic of Korea. The company has established initial revenue guidance of $400 million to $460 million for fiscal 2027.
The operational ramp supports the financial outlook. EMAT is scaling annual production capacity to approximately 10,000 metric tons of magnets. This output includes 6,000 metric tons of high-performance sintered NdFeB magnets. The expansion is supported by a 750-megawatt electrical infrastructure agreement with KEPCO. Thirteen additional ULVAC sintered magnet production machines are scheduled for delivery in November 2026. These additions utilize secured non-China NdPr feedstock.
The timing of the index inclusion aligns with regulatory shifts in critical materials sourcing. The Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) takes effect on January 1, 2027, introducing new requirements for critical defense sourcing. EMAT operates a vertically integrated supply chain spanning end-of-life electronics, high-grade concentrates, and finished rare earth magnets. The company produces battery materials and related critical minerals. FTSE Russell does not sponsor or endorse Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. or its securities. The next milestone for the stock involves the delivery of the production equipment and the implementation of the DFARS sourcing rules.
