DJI Mic 3 two-pack drops to $219 in first price cut at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo

The DJI Mic 3 dual-transmitter wireless microphone kit is down to $219 at Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, the first discount from its standard $259 price. The bundle includes two wireless transmitters, a receiver unit, a charging case, power and audio cables, and four windscreens for outdoor use.

The kit addresses a gap that current smartphones leave open. Their cameras capture smooth, sharp video, but the onboard microphones often fall short. A wireless lavalier microphone can significantly improve audio quality, and the two-transmitter setup here lets one receiver capture two simultaneous speakers, covering interviews or any shoot with more than one person on-camera.

The receiver carries most of the generational upgrades over prior DJI Mic hardware. Storage grew to 32GB from 8GB, and the unit records in both 24-bit and 32-bit floating point. A built-in screen displays battery levels and connection status. The receiver connects directly to a smartphone or camera via the included cables.

Battery life: each transmitter runs about eight hours per charge, the receiver about ten. The charging case holds at least two full recharges for the complete set.

Transmitters attach to clothing or hats via magnetic clips. DJI added two levels of noise reduction and active gain control, the latter responding automatically when audio spikes unexpectedly loud. Four windscreens ship in the box.

The $219 price is live at all three retailers. No end date has been announced for the discount.
