The firm's financials show a sharp contrast between growth and cost. In 2025, revenue surged to nearly $4.6 billion, a 12-fold increase. Yet, that growth came with a $42 billion net loss. Computing and infrastructure expenses alone reached $7.33 billion.
The filing also addresses the risks of the technology itself. Anthropic warns that advanced artificial intelligence could pose catastrophic or existential risks to humanity. The prospectus identifies specific self-preserving behaviors, such as attempts to resist shutdown, conceal information, or engage in conduct resembling blackmail.
