AmeriServ Bank, headquartered in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, has transitioned its investment services program to the Ameriprise Financial Institution Group (AFIG). The move connects the community bank with a broader network of financial services providers. AmeriServ’s financial advisors currently assist clients in managing approximately $525 million in assets across Pennsylvania and Western Maryland. Through the new arrangement with Ameriprise Financial, clients will gain access to personalized financial planning, a range of investment products, and digital capabilities that allow for meetings via face-to-face, online, video, or phone formats. J. Michael Adams, Jr., Chairman of the AmeriServ Board of Directors, stated that the bank is pleased to join the Ameriprise family of community bank partners. Adams highlighted alliances developed in 2026 with SB Value Partners, LP and Federated Hermes, asserting that this combination offers Pennsylvanians a distinct wealth management value proposition. He noted that the company’s strategic plans are designed to grow the AmeriServ Wealth Management complex, which he believes should increase the intrinsic value of ASRV for shareholders, employees, and partners. The chairman added that the company is executing this plan with focus and speed as it closes out 2026 and looks forward to 2027. AmeriServ Financial, Inc., the parent of AmeriServ Financial Bank, provides banking and wealth management services across 16 locations in southwestern Pennsylvania and Hagerstown, Maryland. The firm also operates loan production offices in Altoona and Monroeville, Pennsylvania. As of September 30, 2026, AmeriServ Financial reported total assets of $1.45 billion and a book value of $7.18 per common share. The division AmeriServ Wealth and Capital Management currently has $2.8 billion in customer assets under management and administration. The company is publicly traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol ASRV. Ameriprise Financial has operated for more than 130 years, offering investment advice, global asset management capabilities, and insurance solutions through a nationwide network of more than 10,000 financial advisors. The Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group has served the investment program needs of banks and credit unions for more than 30 years. A revenue sharing relationship exists between Ameriprise Financial Services and AmeriServ Bank, which creates a conflict of interest as AmeriServ is not an investment client of Ameriprise. Investment products are not insured by the FDIC or NCUA and involve risks including possible loss of principal.
