A "WHITE PRIVILEGE" post on Threads, directed at the Indiana Fever account and published shortly after Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington was ejected Saturday, has placed the WNBA in a public accountability bind.
Carrington received an automatic ejection when officials reviewed her foul on Fever guard Sophie Cunningham and upgraded it to a Flagrant 2.
The league has not said whether it is reviewing the post for potential discipline. The ejection and what followed The play came late in the first quarter.
Carrington struck Cunningham across the head as Cunningham attempted a layup. Officials reviewed the call and upgraded it to Flagrant 2, which carries an automatic ejection.
