Vertiv CEO calls 17% stock plunge a 'temporary issue' after revenue growth miss

A 17% single-session decline put Vertiv (VRT) in focus after a revenue growth miss. CEO Gio Albertazzi attributed the shortfall to temporary project timing delays and supply chain disruptions, not weakening demand.

"This is a temporary issue," he said. What the CEO said Albertazzi addressed the quarter directly. The miss came from two places: projects that slipped on scheduling and supply chain friction that affected execution.

Neither factor, he argued, signals customers are pulling back or that the end market is deteriorating. The market's position is a 17% single-session move.

The gap between those two reads is what investors are sitting with now. Vertiv operates in capital-equipment markets where a small number of large contracts can swing a quarterly result.
