Snap's dip record sets the bar the current pullback hasn't cleared

Snap's (SNAP) dip-buying history runs 20 events deep since March 2017, and only five of the eighteen with a full year of data ended higher twelve months out.

The stock is down roughly 10% from its late-August high, trading near $5.31, a pullback that falls short of the 20% minimum every one of those historical episodes required.

The November earnings report is the next dateable checkpoint. What the record shows When a 20%-or-greater decline within 30 trading days triggered, the median outcome at twelve months was a loss of 22%.

There was typically a rally to sell first: the median peak gain within the year reached 44%, arriving after about 128 trading days. The buyer who held through that peak then sat with a median further drawdown of 44%.
