A security camera set up outside a home near Glasgow, Scotland, ended a month-long milk theft mystery for Gordon Campbell, 42, and the culprit was a young fox rather than the person Campbell initially suspected.
Campbell told news agency SWNS he had joked the thief might be "a militant vegan" before the footage captured the real answer just after 2:30 a.m.
He has since suspended his milk delivery service while he figures out a way to protect future bottles. The missing deliveries Campbell had been receiving doorstep milk deliveries since the COVID-19 pandemic.
When bottles started disappearing repeatedly, he ran through possible suspects. Magpies attracted suspicion for a stretch.
