Coinbase shares remain 51.7% below 52-week high despite record trading volume

(COIN) shares are trading 51.7% below their 52-week high of $402.16, a level reached on October 10, 2025, even as the New York-based company reported its highest-ever share of crypto trading volume in the most recent quarter.

The digital asset platform, with a market capitalization of approximately $51.3 billion, fits the classification of a large-cap stock, a category generally applied to companies valued between $10 billion and $200 billion.

Coinbase has expanded its operations from a crypto exchange into a broader digital asset infrastructure provider, supporting developers and businesses with services across trading, custody, staking, and stablecoins.

Over the past three months, COIN shares have risen 19%, outperforming the iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF (IAI), which saw a marginal decline during the same period.
