Hedge fund positioning in BitGo Holdings (NYSE: BTGO) thinned to 12 funds in the second quarter of 2026, down from 15 in the first quarter, leaving the stock on the lighter side of institutional ownership just as the company moved to acquire NYDIG's institutional trading operation.
A regulatory filing put the deal's total consideration at roughly $42.5 million, paid mostly in BitGo stock.
The acquisition brings approximately 30 NYDIG employees and about 250 institutional client relationships to the platform, along with derivatives, structured products, and capital markets financing capabilities.
