Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft have announced new hardware in the past week, aiming to integrate generative artificial intelligence into consumer devices ahead of the holiday season.
The launches include a new smart home hub from Apple, premium tablets from Amazon, and a high-performance laptop from Microsoft, all designed to bring AI capabilities directly to users' homes.
Jitesh Ubrani, an analyst at IDC, stated that these introductions are intended to familiarize consumers with AI technology and gather feedback for future product development.
Ubrani noted that large sales volumes are not expected for these initial gadgets.
